T5 braved the lashing rain and headed over to Uni on Weds night to take on their 2nd team.
The first half started close with goals back and forth but Uni pulled away and by half time the score was 2-5.
The team took our half time chat to heart and we sorted out the rebounding. A quick goal by Zoë gave Tigers the confidence boost we needed, and several more goals steadily followed. We finally drew level at 6-6 with only 5 mins to go. After several very long attacks down each end, Uni finally scored with 2 mins to go, and despite several really good attacks, we just weren’t able to score in time to secure any points.
Sammy defended her socks off against a very tricky player, and Ben ran his player ragged, scoring a lovely first goal for seniors. There were also two each for Ellis and Jacqui. Special shout out to Ethan and Jack for their debuts - both players improved immensely throughout the match.
