Great fun this afternoon with CambridgeSHIRE playing korfball with our visitors from the Lintjo club in the Netherlands.
We were within two at the end of the first session with nothing to much between the teams, the gap widened a bit in the second session (when their coaches joined in). Some memorable firsts such as Sam playing against a Dutch National League player, Elena up against a girl who was at least 6 inches taller (although not able to defend Elena's scoring shots). Other highlights: two successive, very nonchalant, long shots from Maddelena, some epic and very aerobic defending from Toby and some phenomenal (and quite bruising) running in defence from Madison to add to her goals. All in all a good session of high speed korfball and lots of learning gained. Thanks to Nick Collier and Ollie Curson for organising.
